Like I talked about in my last post, I had a very busy day last weekend! I had my shower in Boone that I talked about here. But, I forgot to mention the theme of the shower and explain it...sorry for the backwards talking. Anyways, it was an Hour Shower. So, Abby gave each person an hour (or a half of an hour) and each guest was to get a gift that coincides with that hour. How clever is that? It was so awesome and I loved to hear all the explanations for why each gift went with each time. If you scroll down to the last picture from my post about that shower the card read "11 o'clock is is kick off" and their time was 11:00 am. This probably makes a little more sense now. Sorry again!
Back to the rest of the day...
After the shower Sean, Katie, my mom, and I headed to Palmer's in Des Moines for a tasting for our rehearsal dinner. If I wasn't already full enough from the amazing brunch earlier that day I was some how able to pack more food into my stomach!
We were able to taste the ceaser salad (Sean's fav), bourbon meatballs, pulled pork, a curry chicken bake, spinach artichoke dip, and the mac and cheese. I am so excited for the meal at the rehearsal dinner!! YUMMY!!

our half eaten table-we were all too excited to start tasting we didn't even think about taking a picture :) |
After the tasting, we headed back to Ankeny and my mom and I went to my cousin Jana's wedding shower. We got a chance to visit with her guests and once again...more food. I'm not saying what all I ate this time. But, I will say that the cupcake and oreo balls were very good :) YUM!
Congratulations Jana! Sorry we weren't able to make the whole shower!

As you can tell from my day so far, it was full of delicious food and wonderful people :) The next post will be about the bachelorette party from Saturday evening.
